1. Core product — Buy to Play

A single purchase grants permanent access to Shadow Walkers, including all current solo-completable story acts, every faction path, the full world map, all available character classes and the Thari Music Tool.

There are no energy bars, stamina caps, time-gates, or daily-login mechanics in the base game. A single purchase is a complete experience.

2. Optional subscription — Archiwista Supporter Pass

A voluntary subscription for players who want to support ongoing development and receive cosmetic and out-of-character perks. The Supporter Pass never grants mechanical advantage in PvE, PvP, crafting, progression or economy.

What the Supporter Pass includes

• Archiwum Przyszłości — access to an in-game reading room containing lore writings by the Author Collective (Lem-style, Tolkien-style, Miéville-style, Pratchett-style, Dostoyevsky-style, Roddenberry-style, Zafón-style, Zelazny-style), updated monthly. Contains no gameplay items, spells, or advantages.
• Name in the credits — your chosen supporter name is engraved on an in-game monument in the starting city and appears in the credits scroll.
• Early devlog access — devlog posts, patch notes, and sprite galleries become visible to supporters two weeks before the public release on shadow-walkers.com and stronghold.cool.
• One extra character slot — 4 character slots instead of the default 3.
• Cosmetic Thari Music Tool palettes — additional pastel colour sets for the instrument UI only. No new notes, no new harmonies, no new effects.
• Content creator permission — explicit written permission to monetise gameplay footage on YouTube, Twitch, Kick, TikTok and similar platforms, including ad revenue, sponsorships and Patreon tiers.

What the Supporter Pass does NOT include

• No XP boost, no faster crafting, no better loot tables.
• No stronger spells, no increased damage, no exclusive weapons or armour stats.
• No story content or quests. Every quest and every NPC — including Stara Pierwsza, Bezimienny and Późny Walker — is available to every owner of the base game.
• No exclusive regions of the map. Archiwum Przyszłości is an out-of-character reading room, not a gameplay zone.
• No PvP advantage of any kind.

3. Expansions and downloadable content

Shadow Walkers is designed for long-term support through occasional paid expansions, released roughly once every 12 months.

Expansions add new content on top of the existing world. We will never retire, paywall, or remove content from the base game in order to re-sell it.

4. What we will never sell — the Shadow Walkers Monetization Pledge

This pledge is legally binding on Dwarven Stronghold Limited and forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. No pay-to-win. We will never sell statistics, damage, armour, spells, skills, faction reputation, levels, crafting materials, or any other mechanical advantage over other players or over the game world.
2. No loot boxes or gacha. We will never sell randomised rewards for real money, including cosmetic randomisation, mystery boxes, gacha pulls, card packs, or any product whose contents are not disclosed in advance.
3. No paywalled story. Every quest, every NPC dialogue, every faction arc and every piece of main-line lore is included in the base game. Subscription content is restricted to out-of-character material (Archiwum Przyszłości).
4. No price gouging. The base game price (£19.99 standard) will not increase during the first 24 months after launch. Any future increase will be announced at least 60 days in advance.
5. No gated multiplayer. Players without a Supporter Pass always have full access to PvP, PvE, chat, crafting, the Thari Music Tool, and every public gameplay feature.
6. No NFTs, no crypto, no blockchain items. The economy of Shadow Walkers is internal to the game and will stay that way.
7. No dark patterns. We will not use FOMO countdown timers, fake scarcity, confusing pricing, forced upgrades, or nagging popups to pressure purchases.

If any of these rules are ever broken, any player who purchased the base game or a Supporter Pass within the preceding 12 months will be entitled to a full refund on request, regardless of the refund policy window.

5. Payments, taxes and the Merchant of Record

All payments for the base game, Supporter Pass and any expansions are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (Judd House, 18-29 Mora Street, London, EC1V 8BT, company no. 08172165), acting as Merchant of Record for Dwarven Stronghold Limited.

This means:

• Paddle is the legal seller of record shown on your bank or card statement.
• Paddle collects and remits VAT, GST and sales tax on our behalf in all supported jurisdictions.
• The invoice you receive is issued by Paddle and is valid for tax purposes in your country.
• Paddle's own terms of service and privacy policy apply to the payment step (see paddle.com/legal).

6. Free trial and demo

Shadow Walkers may publish a free demo containing a limited portion of the opening act. The demo is free to play indefinitely and does not require payment details. No data from the demo is shared with advertisers or third-party tracking providers beyond what is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to pricing

We may add new SKUs (e.g. bundles, seasonal cosmetic packs that comply with the Pledge) or adjust regional pricing to reflect currency movements. Any change that affects existing subscribers takes effect at the next renewal and is announced at least 30 days in advance by email and in-game notification.
